Sons of Allen

To create a ministry for men, both lay and clergy of the Twelfth Episcopal District, which will seek to address the needs and concerns relevant to men, who are faced with spiritual, social, political, and psychological challenges. And, to encourage and implement ministries modeled by our founder, Richard Allen, to meet the needs in the communities and congregations of the 12th Episcopal District.

• To lead men to acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• Support goals and initiatives as stated by the Connectional Sons of Allen
• Teach men how to become missional by witnessing in their daily living, such as home, workplace and community
• To organize men into units and to empower them to meet needs in the areas of evangelism and stewardship
• To teach men of the District the history, doctrine, and polity of our denomination with focus on the life mission, and ministry of our ancestral father, Richard Allen
• To empower men to serve as role models to young men and to develop youth ministries in their local units
• To seek resources and support for men in their roles as husbands and fathers
• Annual retreats to foster fellowship among brethren and mentoring of youth
